Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 June 2026
Katamath is a free math practice app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's stored.
What we collect
We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage data. No account is required to use Katamath, and we never collect your name, email, or any personally identifying information.
The events we track include:
- Pages and screens viewed
- Problems answered, skipped, or given up on
- Hints and worked solutions viewed
- Skills, tiers, and levels unlocked
- Sessions completed
- Celebrations triggered
- Onboarding completed
- CTA buttons clicked (on this website)
Each event may include metadata such as the problem ID or skill name, but never anything that identifies you as a person.
How it's stored
Your practice progress (mastery scores, unlocked skills) is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. It never leaves your device and is not sent to any server.
Analytics data is processed by PostHog and stored on servers in the European Union.
Cookies
PostHog sets a cookie to distinguish sessions and avoid counting the same visit twice. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
Third parties
We use PostHog for analytics. No data is shared with any other third party. PostHog's privacy policy is available at posthog.com/privacy.
Your rights
Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions, contact us at hello@katamath.com.
